Downtown Baton Rouge - Sunday April 19th - Noon - 8:30 PM
The 20th annual Earth Day celebration will take place on April 19th in downtown Baton Rouge. The theme for this year's festivities, and the one used 20 years ago, is "Think Globally, Act Locally" encouraging citizens to take the lead as environmental stewards of our state, nation, and earth. The Louisiana Earth Day celebration, one of the nation's largest environmental festivals, broadens its focus this year with a sustainable Louisiana pavilion, "Going Green in Red Stick." Creative, hands-on environmental education activities offer fun and foster stewardship, and great Louisiana music provides all a chance to celebrate our planet.
The USGBC Louisiana Chapter will have a booth at the Sustainable Louisiana Pavilion. We are asking for volunteers to work one hour shifts from Noon - 5 PM. If you are interested please contact Jason Jones @ jason@fusionarchitecture.com
