Membership Benefits

~ The Chapter is a local extension of national USGBC...the benefits of belonging to the Louisiana Chapter are very local – putting you in touch with the state green building network:
~ Numerous opportunities to network with peers in the green building industry
~ Chapter members are listed on the chapter’s membership page of the website
~ Access to the full local membership directory
~ May receive lower rates at chapter events
~ Opportunities to participate on working committees that are actively engaged in transforming the building market in Louisiana
~ Attend events more frequently than with only National membership
~ If a person works for a national member company, he/she can join the Chapter at a lower rate ($50 instead of $65).
~ More privileges within the chapter if one is a chapter member AND works for a USGBC member company (Full member vs. Associate member). As a Full member, one can vote in elections and serve on the Chapter Board.
~The personal satisfaction that results from being actively engaged in an initiative that minimizes environmental impacts, conserves energy, reduces energy dependence, improves indoor environments and enhances occupant health and productivity.
